When I first came to Tremblant in 1983, I fell in love with the place and soon decided to make it my home. Like many of my neighbours, my priorities have slowly changed over the years. Where the slopes, the nightlife and adventure once beckoned, my thoughts now turn to spending more time with my children building memories that they will take with them as they grow.

Since Intrawest's involvement with Tremblant began in 1991, we have welcomed new owners from all over the world. By analysing the usage patterns of their resort homes we know that generating rental income is of primary interest. We are however witnessing the emergence of a trend of owners spending more and more time occupying their Tremblant homes. Approximately 15% of our home owners are no longer part of Tremblant's rental management programmes. With Tremblant home owners fitting comfortably into the venerable 'baby boom' demographic cadre and their children part of the 'echo boom, we can see a number of emerging and continuing trends. In the coming years demand for full-time homes vs. rental properties will increase as owners take their existing properties for full-time personal use or leverage rental properties to help finance the purchase of permanent homes.
