When Intrawest arrived at Tremblant in 1991, a word that had not been heard for decades was re-introduced into the resort village vocabulary: vision. The vision to create something far greater than that which existed at the mountain and in the surrounding community.
This vision, to create a world-class resort community, was developed with expertise and passion by the best mountain planners, builders and thinkers in the business. Once articulated, it was then clearly communicated, and soon thereafter, realized. And now, 10 years later, this vision continues to evolve to even higher levels.
How did all of this come about? It was the result of hundreds of families wanting to share time together and create a resort of their own in this magnificent mountain playground. Intrawest masterplans resort communities to ensure harmonious development that is respectful of all those who participate. What sets Intrawest apart from other resort operators and developers is an emphasis on internal training programs, including approval levels, informing partners and always keeping the "big picture" in mind. Intrawest is committed to creating a long-lasting, sustainable community.
